Maybe Next Week

Today’s blog was meant to be a review of Erica Berry’s WOLFISH, a fabulous book that I’m just starting to read for the second time.

But I’m not really feeling like writing lately. I’m having a hard time expressing myself, and I wonder if what’s happening south of the border is stifling my writing. My brain is full of politics and worried about what it all means for our economy. I also worry that, when we have our election this year, the Conservatives will get in with many of the same talking points as the Republicans.

So today’s blog is short and to the point. Read WOLFISH, you won’t regret it. Plus it’s given me a good idea of how to structure my next book and what I want it to read like. And though I wonder how Berry wrote a proposal for such a diverse book, she gave me some tips on Facebook that I can make the most of when it’s my turn.

I’ll be back next week, hopefully with a longer essay.

Oh and hallelujah, I’ve been back on Cobble Hill Mountain again. So great to get on the trails, and in shoes that are actually meant for it.
