A month or so ago, Alex from The Lab & Field got in touch with me about writing a joint blog post evaluating some of the finer points of the Canada Excellence Research Chairs program. We were mainly interested in how much the program cost, and how much ‘value for money’ (to use a common government phrase) it provided.
After a joint research effort, and some excellent writing on Alex’s behalf, we’ve come up with a post that’s published on Alex’s blog.
As we suspected – more money doesn’t necessarily equal greater research impact…
